Update: Mail was fine all weekend - with my columns always set exactly as I left them… Until this morning. I woke my machine up and the attachments column was triple-wide and the date column was half-wide. I took screenshots, so I might just submit those and see what happens.

From the look of it, RAB Fridays are spreading like wildfire. My plan this week was to report another bug in Mail - one that I’m certain has been around since 10.3. Sometimes, Mail totally forgets the column widths and resets them. It happens often, but I had never tried to reproduce it or figure out details steps to do so.

RABF are the perfect excuse to do that… except now that I’m trying, I can’t get it to happen! I know I’ve had this problem in 10.4.2, so I know it hasn’t been fixed. But try as I might last night, I couldn’t get it to happen. I feel like the column widths tend to reset after waking from sleep… maybe if you get new mail right after it wakes up? I don’t know. I will pay attention and as soon as it happens again, I’ll report it.
