I got a new iPod shuffle a few weeks ago. I use it instead of my iPod photo while I’m running and so far, I love it! This is my *fourth* iPod and it’s a welcome addition. However, I have one little quibble with it…

When I run, I have a habit of listening to my newer, favorite songs over and over and over again. As soon as the song is completely done - and the iPod has registered one more play count - I hit the back button and listen again from the start. (I’m also anal about making sure the song finishes - I really like iTunes to know *exactly* how many times I’ve listened to each song!). Since some songs have empty space at the beginning or end, sometimes when the new song starts, you’re actually a few seconds in and instead of going to the previous song, it goes to the beginning of the new song. With regular iPods, you can look at the screen and know when this is happening. But with the shuffle, you don’t know when that’s happened. So, I constantly find myself hitting the back button too many or too few times. What I’d like is an audible, small click or beep to let you know when you’re actually going back instead of going to the beginning.
