Just got back from a long weekend in Salt Lake City, and am wading through the deluge of email, feeds, etc. Here are a few things that I thought were particularly interesting:

25 Words That Hurt Your Resumé I’ve been thinking about job hunting and resumes quite a bit lately, so it felt apropos to run into this article. It’s an in-depth article, and basically says “don’t say it, show it”. So instead of listing “experience with…” just list what some of the actual experiences are - prove that you’ve done something. I have a few of those words on my resume. It’s time for another update!

Less Signs, Less Accidents I read this article and immediately thought of Apple’s software. It may not do everything for all people, but most of it is well-designed and gets out of the user’s way - allowing the user to do some spectacularly complex things very simply.
