Hey Daniel - I hadn’t even noticed that plugin came with 2.0. Maybe I’ll give that a shot and get rid of the math plugin altogether!

Blake - I have had good luck with the Akismet service included with WP 2.x. I get SLAMMED with comment spam and yet only rarely have to screen any or even notice that they exist. For example just glancing at my “Akismet Spam” section in wp-admin, I see that in the past 10 days it has captured 150+ comments that I never had to deal with.

Yep, that’s one of the concepts I was thinking about copying Buzz also has a simple “What’s Buzz’s Name” field. But since I found a plugin, I didn’t bother changing any of the code. Oh, and I should have included the link - WordPress maintains a list of plugins and spam blockers at http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Spam_Tools
