I'm experiencing the same problems as stated above with the "hanging" at the startup. I had Sniper running on my MacBook Pro for a while, and when I installed mugshot on a Powerbook G4, it stopped working. Both systems have 10.4.8. And as of now, both have stopped working.

I really appreciate your work with this program, and I love it! Hope you're enjoying working on the Aperture team! I love the new changes!

If you have already pulled the info from Flickr, then setting it via AppleScript isn't that tough - check out some of the posts on this site to see how. You can also download Sniper, and dig through the application package to find the scripts - they're all in there even though they're not enabled in the application right now.

If you're looking to get the comments via AppleScript usting web services, then set them in iPhoto, then you're on your own :)

Hi, I cam here trying to find information on AppleScripts to pull title, comment, tag etc. infor from Flick into iPhoto. It appears you have had a go at this and have brickwalled.

Have you got anywhere with this functionality? I am keen to persue this as a simple backup/archiving program for flickr.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hmmm. I'm starting to think maybe there's some new fields in Flickr's response - or they've removed a field. Sniper should handle the first one fine, and the second one is unlikely. It'll take me a bit to research them and fix it - a little low on time right now.
Alternatively, if there were any URLs in the console output, can you copy/paste them into an email and send it to me? The address is feedback at this domain dot com.

I'm having similar problems to blake's. I have only one photoset, only one friend, and no groups (I think).

Thanks for your work.

Yup, I've got the latest version. And no, I havn't got any photosets/groups without names. I guess it just doesn't like me!

Hmmm. I understand what that means, although there's nothing there that should cause it.

First, are you sure you're using the latest release of Sniper?
Second, do you have any groups or photosets that don't have any names/titles? (This shouldn't be possible - Flickr won't let you create a photoset without a name, but I just want to double-check)

this is the last line in the console before the program gets stuck:
[NSPlaceholderMutableString initWithString:]: nil argument' that raised during delayed perform of target 0x38d670 and selector 'startupFinishLoadMugshot'

No idea what that means. Any ideas?

Keith - any interesting output in the console? (You should see a bunch of URLs fly by - that's Sniper fetching your groups, contacts, etc. But is there anything there that looks like an error, warning, etc.?
